You don’t exercise.
You eat junk food all day.
You don’t sleep enough.
You smoke.
You drink too much.
You think healthcare equals health.
You complain about everything.
You expect a pill to save you.
You think it’s your physicians fault your insurance premiums went up.
Why would your doctor like you?
He gets paid less, his employees cost more, his insurance costs more, his rent costs more, he has to work more hours, and see more patients, and see less of his own family, and he hates you for it.
It’s no better for you doc.
Your patients hate you.
You charge too much.
You don’t pay attention.
Your waiting room stinks.
The bathroom is filthy.
Your receptionist is rude.
You don’t answer the phone.
It takes six months to get an appointment, unless you have a flu shot for me, which has to happen immediately or I could die!
You screw up insurance billing every time.
You don’t use the internet.
You get my name wrong every time.  Probably because your scheduler entered it wrong.  Four years ago.  And I’ve requested it be fixed since then.  Every time.
Why would your patients like you?
You’re grumpy, rude, insulting, condescending, unavailable, expensive and you think patients are making it up to get more drugs.
How do we fix it?
We need to take responsibility as individuals on both sides of the equation or someone will.  (The government)  Someone that thinks they know what you need because you’re too stupid to make decisions for yourself.
Frankly, if we don’t fix this, they’ll be right.
